"Buddy" Chance, 85, of Mesquite, TX, (Formerly of Van Zandt County) are scheduled for 3:00 PM Friday March 12, 2010 at Eubank Chapel with Bro. Kyle Gulledge & Bro. Terry Adair officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX. He passed away March 10, 2010 in Mesquite, TX. Mr. Chance was born August 30, 1924 in Dundee, TX., to Walter B. Sr. and Bessie Lee Wolf Chance. He was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church of Royse City, Tx. He served in the Army during WWII. In 1969 he retired from the Dallas Fire Dept. He and his wife, Dorothy had a farm in Mabank for 31 years then moved back to Mesquite. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Rick Adams. Surviving are: Pallbearers are: Gary, Larry & J.C. Shelton, R. D., Jake & Tim Fagan . Family will receive friends Thursday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
