Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX. He passed away January 29, 2010 in Terrell, TX. Mr. Chaney was born August 23, 1950 in Dallas, TX, to Melvin Aubrey Chaney Jr. and Ima Ruth Whitfield Chaney. David was a Baptist by faith. He had lived in Terrell for the past 25 years and had retired from Sears after 40 years of service. He loved to go fishing and bird and deer hunting. He also loved to play golf. Surviving are Wife, Charmaine Chaney of Terrell, TX; 3 Daughters: Sheena & Josiah Sternfeld of Cedar Park, TX, Lindsey Chaney of Cedar Park, TX and Britney & Jason Upton of Terrell, TX; 2 Sons: Ray & Angie Bowers of Sachse, TX and Brandon Bowers of Terrell, TX; 7 Grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, Zachery, Jordan, Rayley, Chaney and Grey; Brother, Bobby & Peggy Chaney of Edgewood, TX; and Several Nieces and Nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents. Family will receive friends Sunday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
