Services for Jack English, 83, of Ben Wheeler, TX, are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday January 26, 2010 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roland Alsobrook and C.R. Chapman officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery, Martins Mill, TX.
He passed away Friday, January 22, 2010, in Dallas, TX.
Mr. English was born November 26, 1926 in Ferris, TX, to Emery Hugh English and Oma Mae Brandenburg English.
He was a Methodist by faith. After growing up in the southern end of Dallas County in the Patrick Community, Jack served in the US Army during the end of WWII. On September 4, 1948, he married Helen Moore English. They moved to Ben Wheeler in 1956. He farmed and operated the English Produce Stand for 53 years.
Surviving are Wife, Helen English of Ben Wheeler, TX, 2 Sons and their wives: Bobby & Linda English of Ben Wheeler, TX and Jace & Joette English of Ben Wheeler, TX; 4 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Lucille Herrin of Dallas, TX; Several Nieces and Nephews; and a Host of Friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his Parents; 2 Brothers: Clifford English and John Harry English; 2 Sisters: Mildred Peters and Izetta Ware; and 2 Great-Nephews.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Horton, Chuck Horton, Jerry Johnston, Nicky Brockway, Adam English, Heath English, Johnathen English and Dustin English.
Family will receive friends Monday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
