Founded in 1926 when Lee Eubank of Mabank, Texas purchased the Liberty Hardware Company of Wills Point and Canton, Texas. The hardware business prospered and Lee ventured into the Funeral Business. In an attempt to help people with funeral expenses, Lee created Eubank Burial Insurance Company in 1937, the first in Van Zandt County.

Often people exchanged produce & chickens to help pay their insurance premiums. Eventually the Wills Point location was sold. Operation of the Canton location was assumed by Lee's son Russell and his wife Maurice. In 1956 Russell and Maurice established the first perpetual care cemetery in the area, Haven of Memories Memorial Park. In 1959 the funeral home moved into a new building adjacent to Haven of Memories. The funeral home continues to operate in the same location today under the ownership and management of Russell and Maurice’s three sons: Russell Kent, Dr. Jimmy, and Tommy Eubank. The business has been locally owned and operated for three generations.
